Party Time

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?

Today is Jordan’s birthday. She’s finally achieved the ripe old age of 17.  It should be a good one … on 7/17 she turned 17.  I hope that’s a good omen for this year.

	We all knew we'd be back on the road on her actual birthday so we celebrated it on Saturday.  Jordan was the focus. She’s brought a lot of good times in all our lives.  Sabrina usually comes up with lots of unique ideas for parties and get togethers.  This was no exception.
Everyone provided either a written memory or a picture memory.  These memories were going to be attached to a balloon or two. We have had lots of good memories with Jordan and some stressful ones (i.e., car accident last year). We had to decide which ones we were going to bring to the party.

As usual Sabrina came up with several other unique ideas for the party.

The ceiling was decorated.

The balloons were originally put in her bedroom for the surprise.  Then, brought downstairs for everyone else to enjoy.

Dr. Pepper is Jordan's favorite drink.  Sabrina used mini Dr. Pepper cans for the birthday cake.  The birthday cake was frosted and a cherry added to the top to make it look like a Dr. Pepper drink.

The gift from Tammi's family was unique too.  Little envelopes with varying amounts of $$$ -- sort of like scratch off cards.

Over the years there have been a few obvious changes with all those memories.

Happy Birthday, Jordan!

The next family birthday is in two weeks.  Michael and Duchess share a birthday.  It's Tammi's turn to come up with a unique idea for the next party.
