Graduation Week

“If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it.”

This is it.  This is graduation.  One advantage to having a home on wheels is being able to be at many of the family events.   This is the week that our grandson, Michael, has looked forward to for 13 long years.  First there was kindergarten graduation, then elementary school graduation, middle school graduation and finally …. high school graduation.  It’s a big event.  Oh sure, school isn’t over because college starts in the fall but this stage of school certainly is.  This is the big time or at least that’s what they think.

Michael agreed to try on his cap and gown just so I could take the picture.

Last Friday the seniors finished school.  They are out a whole week before the other years get out.  Strange is an understatement of how it feels.

Terry and I took Michael out to lunch on Tuesday.  His choice of restaurants was Olive Garden.  I figured he would order something special as he knew he could order anything on the menu.  What did he order?  Soup and sandwich with breadsticks.  It was a pretty cheap lunch.

Thursday was the big day.  It started with a senior breakfast, lots of practicing, dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory and finally the graduation ceremony starting at 8:30 pm with the graduation ceremony.

This is it.  Graduation day.  Congratulations, Michael for a job well done.

We were glad we could be there to share this event with him.
