Happy Anniversary and It’s Over !!

Change your thoughts and you change your world.

First of all ... Happy Anniversary Lee and Sabrina.  Today is their anniversary.  It was also the anniversary of my parents and my grandparents.

tentsLabor Day weekend is over.  This last weekend is usually the big one.  It’s the one that marks the end of the summer.  Folks start packing up, loading up and heading out from the towns.  Every single campground around is loaded with people, dogs, kids and lots of noise.  Where we are at was no exception but now it’s over.

The campground was filled with lots of activity, lots of smells from campfires and food.  There was activity everywhere …. good and not so good.  One day there was a craft bazaar.  We had to check it out.  Terry saw something he thought he needed.  It was another little sign to go over his work shed  …. Man Cave.

Sandi spent one night with us.  She was my pal and we walked across the pool area to check out the street dance party.  It was festive and strobe lights were everywhere …. so were people and lots of food.  They were having a great time.  It was the end of summer bash.

Monday we watched tents come down, lots get cleaned up and cars move out.  We like watching them go much better than when they come.   Now it’s quiet and peaceful and most folks won’t return until next summer.  We like it better like this.  We like it much better.  The friendly deer like it like this too.

Summer may be over for some as they headed back to their homes, their jobs and their schools for another year.  For snowbirds it’s time to start thinking again about winter plans and when to start heading south.  We have a few more things we want to do before then but time will go fast and we’ll also be moving on soon.

We were sure glad to see them go!!

‘Tis life on the road.

  2. So where is Terry going to hang his "Man Cave" sign? In one of the basement compartments? ;c)

Funny, but where we are now at our "home" CG near our grandsons, the CG has mostly long term construction workers living here and working at a nearby nuclear reactor construction site. Labor Day weekend saw them going home to their real homes and the CG was a ghost town. Sort of a backwards Labor Day weekend.

  3. Yes we like to see things quiet down too. For the weekend we opted to hang out at the relatives farm , peace and quiet. Today back to the campground and pretty quiet now, nice !!
